Gurvinder is a qualified solicitor and an accredited member of the Law Society Mental Health Accreditation Scheme.
Gurvinder’s love for mental health started very early in his career when he went to his first CPA in a medium secure forensic unit in April 2012 and since that day, he has never turned his back on Mental Health Law. From his days as a young lawyer in a large legal aid firm through to the establishment of his own firm Gurvinder has continued to work with the most vulnerable in society. Through years of experience, Gurvinder now specialise in, and is committed to, representing patients who are detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
For Gurvinder, It is considerable important to understand the impact of Mental Health on all those effected, not only the person deprived of their liberty. In his role as a solicitor/advocate it is important for him to remain driven by compassion and humanity, always having his client at the forefront of any decision. He will regularly go out of his way to ensure that his client is safeguarded and legally protected.
Gurvinder does not see his engagement and representation in mental health as a career but rather a way of life driven by the foundation of serving humanity.
